Ashi Collective was founded by Katie Woelfel after a life changing health crisis in 2017. She was diagnosed with renal papillary necrosis and found herself navigating a system that focused on management rather than true healing. While searching for relief from chronic pain, she turned to acupuncture as a last resort and discovered far more than symptom control. Through Traditional Chinese Medicine, Katie found an entire healthcare philosophy rooted in balance, restoration, and respect for the body’s innate intelligence. Over time, she experienced profound healing and a return to vitality. Deeply transformed by that journey, she committed to studying Eastern Medicine and is currently a student at AIMC Austin, set to graduate in 2028. Ashi Collective was created to offer the same kind of steady, compassionate support she once received, making acupuncture accessible, affordable, and rooted in community. Katie remains deeply grateful for the path that led her here and for the medicine that changed her life.
